IL PROGETTO

L’azienda, per estendere il proprio business e sfruttare le opportunità offerte dalla recente normativa per la contabilizzazione divisionale del calore (D.Lgs. 102 del 2014 e successive modifiche e integrazioni) ha intrapreso un percorso di “open innovation” partecipando al Programma operativo regionale per la crescita e occupazione.

Obiettivi del progetto sono stati: l'analisi di settore, la definizione dei nuovi business model e la definizione dei requirements per l’infrastruttura tecnologica abilitante i servizi di telelettura dei consumi.

I risultati conseguiti sono i seguenti: 

- elaborazione del nuovo piano industriale, dove sono definiti gli obiettivi di business dei servizi tradizionali e ai nuovi servizi; 

- messa a punto di modelli di business in funzione dell'analisi di settore, del posizionamento dell’azienda nel mercato dei servizi di contabilizzazione ed efficientamento energetico. 

- design e sviluppo di nuovi strumenti tecnologici (App - Piattaforma - Smart gateway).

- sviluppo di relazioni con nuovi potenziali clienti.

The project 

The main purpose of the project titled "Developing new KIBS services in the utilities and building energy efficiency" was to redefine the service portfolio and the business models of the business units of the company, respectively Utility and Home BUs.  In order to extend its business and exploit the opportunities offered by the recent law about heat expenses based on effective consumption in building apartments (D. Lgs. 102 of 2014, and subsequent amendments and additions), the firm started a collaboration with PIN Research Centers to define the new business plans of the three-year period 2016-2018. 

The project's objectives were also the provide a sector analysis, reshape the business models of each BUs, and support the definition of requirements and implementation of the enabling technologies. The results achieved are the following: the new industrial plan 2016-18 has been developed where the business objectives of traditional services and new services are targeted; competition and business models have been (re)focused, on the base of the market analysis and of the company's strength and weaknesses, in relation to the emerging market of smart metering and energy efficiency services. 

The requirements for new technologies supporting the delivery of these services have been defined. Among them, a telematic control unit to be installed in each condominium for the acquisition of consumption data, an app to be used by technicians for mapping, verification and validation of the smart meters that are installed in each apartments, a web portal and an app for customers/end users. New relationships with potential customers have been activated, thanks to the organization of a Focus Group where 15 real estate managers have participated, that was used to detect the needs of end users for these kind of services.
